Recruiting additional Bharatanatyam Dance Teacher

Join our team at the London Tamil Centre as a highly committed, qualified and skilled performer/teacher of Bharatanatyam! We are seeking individuals with melodious tonal qualities and a natural instinct for the art and imagination of swaras, as well as a good knowledge of the English language to contribute to the arts, cultural relations and cultural awareness.

Located just a short walk from North Wembley Station, our dynamic not-for-profit organization has a strong Teaching and Learning Policy that is delivered through a broad and balanced curriculum. As a successful candidate, you will plan, deliver and monitor a coordinated programme of high-quality coaching to young students covering all levels of the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam.

You will play a crucial role in promoting the traditional Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam and providing training in a refined way to all age groups. Our development model focuses on learning to perform as well as to compete, and you will help deliver the recommendations of our Student Development Plan for workshops. You will also create a structure within which talented children can be identified and developed to their full potential, including working with eminent visiting artists.

To be considered for this position, DBS certification and provision of two references covering the last two years of employment are essential. The positions are part-time for one year and may be extended by mutual consent.
